Judith Nicoll carves wood and stone sculptures in her garden workshop in Farnham, Surrey.  She specialises in birds such as waders, ducks and owls, usually in re-claimed pine which is often painted in acrylic or oil-based paints and given an antique effect.  She also creates stylised woodcarvings in lime, mahogany and walnut.  Fish from sea and reef are also an inspiration. Each piece is unique and original.  She also runs courses for people to learn to carve and paint decoy ducks and waders using traditional techniques and skills.
